As I searched for cut leaves I found Joy’s blog. I had to smile when I read her entry because the same thing happened to me… I cut, researched, and found, as often seems to happen, that it had already been done. Not that I thought that I was being particularly original with this idea and it is always inspiring to see the experts version, in this case Lorenzo Durán’s. His cut and skeletonized leaves (images below) are amazing.
Al buscar hojas cortadas encontré el blog de Joy. Sonreí al leer su entrada porque nos pasó lo mismo… Cortamos, investigamos y como sucede a menudo, encontramos que ya se había hecho. No es que pensase que estaba siendo muy original con esta idea pero es interesante ver las versiones de otras personas y en el caso de Lorenzo Durán, ser inspirada. Sus hojas cortadas y esqueletizadas (imágenes inferiores) son increíbles.

Mi nieces and nephew are visiting. I think the project above would be fun to try… after some washi tape, some clay and some dyeing which they have already requested.
