Ipad Cover – Funda para Ipad

I made this Ipad cover some time ago but thinking so much about mending and repairing brought me back to it. I used the first piece of fabric I ever dyed (with Indigo) and some fabric from a favourite skirt of mine that was no longer wearable! I hand stitched the hexagons using the english paper piecing method, then used the machine for the rest of it.

Hice esta funda para el Ipad hace ya un rato pero pensando tanto en zurcido y reparación volví a él. Las telas que usé me encantaban: el primer trozo de tela que teñí hace años y la tela de mi falda favorita que de tanto uso estaba en pésimas condiciones! Cosí los hexágonos a mano usando el método inglés de patchwork con papel y cosí el resto a maquina.

Homemaking – Labores Domésticas

This delicious lime cake and cute little bag were made by my kids!
I love that we have time to do these activities during our school week and am so proud of them for choosing to learn to cook and sew at their age.

Esta deliciosa tarta de lima y la bolsa tan mona la hicieron mis hijos!
Me encanta que tenemos tiempo entre semana para hacer estas actividades y estoy muy orgullosa de ellos por escoger aprender a coser y cocinar a tan pronta edad.

Lap Top Cover – Funda para el Ordenador

I made this lap top cover some time ago using some of my dyed cotton fabric. I brought no sewing tools with me from California (I borrow my mum’s or my sister’s sewing machines when in need) so straight lines have been a challenge. Looking at the cover now, I think its charm is the lack of perfection!

Hace ya bastante tiempo que hice esta funda para el ordenador con mis telas teñidas. Dejé todos mis instrumentos de coser en California (mi madre o hermana me prestan su máquina de coser) o sea que líneas rectas han sido un reto. Viendo la funda después de transcurrir un tiempo, creo que su encanto es su falta de perfección!

Then again, I might just be making myself feel better about all the little mistakes I keep finding.  : -)
